LLC Retreat: Life is Sweet with Fairies Molli

Early November 2015, the 3rd Annual La-la Land Craft Retreat was held in Pacifica, California.  (I'm a little late posting the projects from the retreat). And, again, it was no disappointment. The 2014 LLC Retreat projects were previously posted on my blog starting on Friday, January 23, 2015.  "Life is Sweet" is the theme for this event this year.  At the retreat, we all received pizza boxes containing our "gifts" inside: various adhesive pearls and rhinestones, paper embellishments, ribbon, bag of buttons, some luscious papers, pens, a commemorative themed Tee Shirt celebrating the event, a metal bucket, too.  That's just to start - we all got up to date chatting with our retreat friends from the previous years.  So much fun to be had for the next 2-1/2 days. There is a total of 7 projects today.

The first day of the 3rd LLC Retreat was our very first class session with Irina, the Owner and Designer of La-la Land Crafts. We were all excited when we saw this sample - we were going to make this?  Well, we all did!!!! This project finished size is 12" x 12" x 3/4". It is awesome!!!! Each 4" x 4" x 1/2" section was made using  using lightweight chipboard, then covered using card stock and decorative papers. A gorgeous blue glittered acetate sheet used as a mat. Top left square details: A gold foil die cut Birdcage. On top are the Cherry Blossom Flowers with Yellow stamens. Die cut the Tea Cup with light weight chipboard, curve the cup using a bone folder, then attach the handle on the left side of the cup.  The Lacey Border finishes the top of the tea cup.  Add the Berry Flourish  and some silk flowers to finish off this section after adding a popped up Teacup Molli.
The top left panel:
Closer look at Teacup Molli (oops, photo is a little dark). We all received Copic color details for each image on this project.
Here's a view of the "curved and shaped" teacup made using a bone folder.  Teacup Molli sitting over the teacup edge.
Top right panel details: A die cut Koi Circle is positioned on the base of the square.  Apply the black and gold Fancy Butterflies, then embellish with gradated sized adhesive pearls. Pop the Hanging Hearts in between the butterflies. Note half of the metal filigree is attached using Glossy Accents on the top right side.
Bottom left panel details:  Solid color Heart Doily on the base with Gold foil Wings extending beyond the gold die cut Crown.  Popped up Crown is embellished with adhesive pearls.
Bottom right panel details: A gold foil die cut Filigree Moon is tucked behind where Molli is sitting. There are die cut Cherry Blossom Flowers with Yellow stamens on the left side with leaves from the Berry Flourish. Die cut the Tea Cup with light weight chipboard, curve the cup using a bone folder, then attach the handle on the right side of the cup.  The Lacey Border finishes the top of the tea cup. Teaspoon Molli sits on the teacup and is popped with foam squares.
A closer look at Teaspoon Molli:
See how she is popped with foam squares?
Each corner has a metal filigree corner covering the black strips of card stock.  here you can clearly see the gorgeous blue glitter acetate on top of decorative paper.
