Lei Thank You Card

In order to include all the elements for this card,it is a 6x6 size. Image stamp used is from CC Designs called Welcome Birgitta.  She is holding a flower lei: Plumeria flower?  Stamp with Momento Tuxedo Black ink on Express it Paper for the smoothest coloring and blending.  Textured Bazzil Yellow paper used for the card base and mats. Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe Icing on the Cake decorative paper used. One side of the paper is small pink dots and reverse side is the stripe with white background. Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles is used on this card, too.  Studio Calico adhesive Enamel Dots are on Birgitta's comer. Martha Stewart Flower Shower Punch Around the Page adds a whimsical touch.
Copic Colors used:
Face and body E11, E000, E00, R20
Hair and Shoes: W2, W4, W6, W8
Lei: R20, R85
Dress: R85, R81
also add Clear Star Gelly Roll pen on the lace (top and bottom of her dress).
Thanks is from the Heidi Grace Thank You stamp set. The small Spellbinder Reverse Wonky die is edges with Stardust Stickles, mat is the same Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe Icing on the Cake decorative paper, then pop with foam squares.

Koala Hello Card

This A2 card is for a Koala lover friend.............the Koala SVG cut file is from Lettering Delight's called Over Koala-fied Cut Set. The card style is from My Scrap Chick  which was a weekly FREE SVG cut file Hello Edge Cut Card. It was really easy to get this card together, embellishing it a sending it off in the mail.  I love the shaped edge, giving this card a bit more interest. Cutting it with my Silhouette was so easy!!!
Paper details:
Stampin-Up retired Raspberry Designer Paper
Stampin-Up Card Stock: Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Basic Grey
Recollections Card Stock:  Black, White, Kraft, Green, Neutral Card Stock Pack
Isn't the Koala so cute! All edges are lightly sponged with brown ink. Head and hands are popped with foam squares.
"Hello" is embossed using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, lightly sponge the edge with brown ink, then apply Stardust Diamond Stickles to the edges for some bling-bling.

School Lucy Birthday Trinket Box

This cute project is for a friend's birthday.  It's not a card, it is a Trinket Box from La-la land Crafts found here.  The stamp used is CC Designs Stamp: School Lucy (SW#1082) - colored using Copics  (color details below). Also, all the dies used are from La-la Land Crafts: Random Flags, Picket Fence, Birdhouse, Grass Border, Whimsical Flower Bunch, Heart Doily, Heart Border and can be found hereDetails of paper used for this project: Bazzil Yellow, Doodlebug Designs Bumblebee Flower/Stripe, Recollections Primary Pack, Kraft, and White. Finished project size is 4" x 5" x 1".
Copic colors used on School Lucy:
Face: E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: YR20, YR21, YR23
Top: R81, R83, R85
Pants: E30, E31, E33
Shoes, W2, W4. W6, W8

Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch on Card Stock Vellum. Star Dust Stickles used on the edges of vellum butterflies:
The die cut Heart Boarder in Recollections Kraft paper is on each side of the box. Lightly ink the hearts using brown ink, then adhere to the box.
Star Dust Stickles used around the stamped message from Hero Arts Decorate Your Own Cake. Pop the stamped message with foam squares to prop up the easel.

Open the lid to reveal some sweets.
Random Flags die cut using the Doodlebug decorative paper as well as Recollections Kraft paper. Those Star Dust Stickles hearts are also randomly placed on the inside lid. Stamped message is from Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites.
 
 Underneath the Trinket Box are wooden feet (they are 1/2" "plugs from the Hardware store)

Graduation: My Grand Neice

Another graduation card made from the same 4 step card style. This one is for my Grand Niece who is graduating from Middle School - can you believe that? A milestone for her. The colors are Royal Blue and Gold.  This graduation Girl is a SVG cut from  SVGcutting.com and is part of their collection called The Grad found here. She actually does have lots of long hair, too.  I used my Silhouette to cut it out.  The paper used is Bazzil in the Royal Blue and Gold colors.  All Decorative paper is from Doodlebug Design Cap and Gown. "Dream" is cut from the  Doodlebug Design Cap and Gown.decorative paper, then mats were cut using the school colors.
Here's a closer look at her holding the diploma: If you look closely, I sponged her black hair using White ink to show the curls.

Inspiration for this card is from lorriesstory.com where she posts her original design on April 18, 2014. I also decorated some graduation bubbles using some scraps of paper for her, too. The words are cut from the Doodlebug Design Cap and Gown.decorative paper, then mats were cut.
The jumping graduation girl is part of the SVGcutting.com and is part of their collection called The Grad found here. The gold mat used Darice's Graduation Hats embossing folder for the background.
Oh yes, one more surprise: add a Wobble so she really does jump around...............
The font used for "You Did it" is  free font called "Lobster Two" but this time, I printed the words, the used the Silhouette to do a "print and Cut".........so much easier.

Graduation: Another 4 Step Card

Another graduation card made from the same 4 step card style. This one is for my Nephew who is graduating in Criminal Justice - can you believe that? Quite an accomplishment.  The colors can be easily found on line: navy and Gold.  This graduation hat is a SVG cut from  SVGcutting.com and is part of their collection called The Grad found here. I used my Silhouette to cut it out.  The paper used is Bazzil in the Navy and Gold colors.  All Decorative paper is from Doodlebug Design Cap and Gown. "Way to Go" is cut from the  Doodlebug Design Cap and Gown.decorative paper, then mats were cut using the school colors.

Graduation 4 step Card

That time of year is coming up again...........Graduation time for many people.  Congrats to all who have made it to the finish line. This card was made for a special person who is graduating from San Francisco City College. The City College colors were easily found on their web site. This graduation hat is a SVG cut from  SVGcutting.com and is part of their collection called The Grad found here. I used my Silhouette to cut it out.  The paper used is Bazzil in the Cardinal and Gold colors.  Decorative paper is from Doodlebug Design Cap and Gown. "Dream" is cut from the  Doodlebug Design Cap and Gown.decorative paper, then mats were cut using the school colors.

Get Well Easel card

I made this perfect card for a friend recovering from a heart attack............perfect, eh? It is  a SVG cut file called Healing Heart Trio from My Scrap Chick can be found here. The finished card size is 4-1/4" x 5-1/4" and fits in an A2 envelope. I didn't have to change a thing to the SVG cut file - it was perfect.  It was a snap to put together using some scraps from my stash.
Surprise - this card is an easel style card  - the front of the card rests on the popped up section for a personal message.
Here is a side view of the easel:
In the bottom left corner, there is a heart with a band-aid. I used a Copic pen E34 to make the center of the band-aid look more realistic. The edges of the heart and band aid are lightly brushed with brown ink. Heart is popped with foam squares.
In the top right corner is an envelope sealed with a heart. The envelope is lightly brushed with brown ink. the flap and heart are popped with foam squares.

Asian Thank You Card

Here's a really quick card that was made for one of my  guy friends.  It is a simple A2 card mainly using Hanko Washi 2013 Fall release: item #RTB9834.  You can purchase this paper from the on line Hanko site found here. This Washi paper really makes this card very elegant and masculine.  Card Base is using Recollection Black with recollections Gold mat.
Here's a closer look at the "Thanks" SVG Kanji word cut in Recollections Gold Card Stock with a Recollections Black and Recollections Gold Card Stock mat. Both are then popped with foam squares.
Here's the words "thanks" in Recollections Gold Crad Stock cut using my Silhouette using Ariel Font, welded together and also a shadow in Recollections Black card stock in the back. The word is popped with foam squares.
Here's another angle of the card - look - you can't see the white Kanji words............interesting Washi paper, eh?
Card inside is a computer generated message of thanks in detail.

Bunny Swap Card

Whoo - hoo .......more great snail mail to share!  This one is from Jan C.She always makes the most creative cards.  This one is using the Hero Arts Mountain Hare (Ref #111835). Ink used is Archival Black which is stamped once on the white mat, then again on a separate white card stock - cut out, then popped with foam squares on top of the first stamped image. Oh yes, after fussy cutting the hare,  it is edged with black ink for a very finished look. LOVE that Washi paper, too - shimmering with some gold and silver specs.
The flowers on the hare are colored using Derwent Intense Pencils with center of flowers dotted with a Gold pen.  You can't see the shimmer in the photo but the white mat, sitting on top of a black mat,  is edged with Smooch Glitz "Frost".  Fussy cut Washi paper is also around the hare's neck popped with foam squares.
