Koi Card

Now here's a Asian card from my friend, Jan Castle.  This card is simply so cool.  The stamp is from Kodomo. Although the stamp company is no longer selling their stamps in the USA, Hanko Designs does have some of their images on their on line store found here. I absolutely love the way Jan colored all the images on this card.
Here's a closer look at the Koi:

And here is the second card: A colorful dragonfly with the Graphic 45 Bird Song paper for the mat. Pretty cool, too.

Dandelion Valentine

HAPPY VALENTINE DAY TO ONE AND ALL!!!! A quick card using the newly released Dandelion CL-15 Kokeshi Set.  There are loads of fun things to make using these stamps. See Dandelion's blog for many examples here.  And, of course, there is a free template in the stamp set for a cute treat holder.  For this card, I choose to sue one of the cut files from the Silhouette on line store and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the extra fine hearts.  I was amazed how cool it was to cut such a fine image.  Decorative paper is Washi. Finish off the crad with some decorative gold organdy ribbon and a bow with long tails!
Copic colors used: R20, R27, R35, E21
See the delicate the "love" word.
Card inside:
Hope your day was "love"ly and wonderful.

Year of the Snake Hershey Treats

OMG - I have to share this treat I got from Karen L. this weekend..............it is the CUTEST and most creative treat ever!!!! If you have been following the Brenda Quintana on her blog (Qbee's Quest found here) showing various Hershey Kiss treat holders from the recent Easter basket, heart, holiday tree......... to name a few......................you will like this Year of Snake Hershey treat Karen was inspired to make following the same concept.  Snake is 6-3/4" long and fits in a Michael's treat bag (the skinny kind)
Here is a closer look at the googlie eyes and felt tongue:
A better look when the snake is out of the plastic sleeve:

Karen has kindly provided the template as follows:

Some additional notes:
  • Tape "kisses holders" together with painter's tape, so they can wind the snake strip around them. More-talented people might find that unnecessary.
  • I've labeled the slits with letters. In the diagram, the letter on top should fit down onto the letter on the bottom. For instance, at the intersection of D and B, you should be able to push slit D down onto slit B.
  • The snake can slither into treat bags that are meant for those dipped rod pretzels. I got a pack of 75 at Michael's

Don't you just LOVE this project so perfect for Chinese New Year???? And, thank you Brenda for providing such inspiration to us all. Thank you Karen for your cute treat!!!
