The weather has gotten much better now. I will be taking a little break for a bit - check back later as I clean, purge, re-org and then create something in between those tasks...........

Bass Fishing B'day Card

This is a "man" style card - don't you just love it!!!! I found the perfect paper when I was out at a local scrapbook store that worked so well for this theme card: from TCP Studio "Reel Me In Words". The perfect subtle colors. The Bass was cut using my SCAL (sure cuts a lot program) with my Cricut. The cut file is from my favorite: SVGcuts.com. The file is called Cliff's Clubhouse Cards/Bass Gift card Holder. Yup, the original cut file was a gift card holder now reduced down to fir into a A2 size card. The Bass's mouth holds a Birthday message instead of the gift card. I love how the fish scales are cut in a scallop shape, then slightly pushed forward for that 3D affect. The fins also have that 3D effect, too since they are attached separately.

The waves are also cut using the SCAL (sure cuts a lot program) with my Cricut. The free cut file is also from SVGcuts.com. The texture was made by using the Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder.

The little greeting can be removed from the fishes mouth:

Here are the cut pieces for the card. The Bass is a svg cut file from SVGcuts.com called Cliff's Clubhouse cards Bass Gift Card Holder. The wave is a free SVG cut, too.

Stamp the inside message using Cloud 9 Birthday set and Chocolate Chip ink.

Disney B'day Card

Before I sent off the Bitty album made using the same Sandylion Disney DSP, I needed to enclose a quick birthday card, too. Of course, there was left over paper from making the Bitty Book so it was logical to use it for the card. Cute, eh?

Each Mickey is matted with Black, then popped with dimensionals.

The inside message (from PTI) stamped with black ink and sweet Minnie:

Summer Disney Vacation Bitty Album

This cute album is made for my friend who will be going to Disneyland for the Summer. This will be here birthday present so she can put cherished photos in them. I had made one for her a couple years ago and it is time for another one. The Oval is cut using my SCAL (sure cuts a lot) program. The size is 4-1/4" x 2-3/4"x 1/4". Customizing the oval was easy to fit the album casing. Cutting the Vellum card stock was simple, too. The 2011 is 1" thick using the Brush Script Bold font cut by using my Cricut and SCAL program. The multi color "Summer Fun" words are purchased from a local craft store attached to the oval with mini glue dots. The oval is popped with dimensionals.

Here are the "charms" - I couldn't find any suitable ones so I made them by punching 4 sets of (4) layers of card stock: (2) in Black and (2) in colors. All (4) layers are sandwiched together to achieve a chipboard weight. The 1/4" black satin ribbon is sandwiched between (2 layers): color on one side, black on the back side. This worked out great. I knew I wouldn't be able to find anything colorful like this.

Remove the album from the case to reveal:

The album cover has a simple embellishment: punched castle along with stamped "vacation" (stamp from Cloud 9) and Black oval (made from SCAL: sure cuts a lot). I love the SCAL program because it can make any size oval to fit any image.

Inside covers (page inserts removed). Page inserts have Mouse ears punched for the photos.

I was able to find this free SVG cut file Mickey image from www.Jenniferscrapshack.com posted on 8/22/10 which can be resized to fit the inside cover with SCAL (sure cuts a lot) - love it!!! The Mouse is finished 2-3/4" x 2-3/8".

Graduation Bitty Album

The graduation card (posted on Monday, May 30) now has a companion: the Bitty Book album. This special album will keep the day's memories with friends and family.

The Graduation DSP used was the perfect colors for the So Saffron and Glorious Green School colors. The spinning diploma is perfect. Scraps from left over graduation DSP had the perfect words: Congratulations to back the inside of the spinning track. SU Top Note die popped with dimensionals, the So Saffron layer is using the Cuttlebug Numbers Collage embossing folder. Words "Class of" is from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and "2011" is cut using the SCAL Brush Stroke Font from my computer sized 1".

And, here's a closer view of the diplomas spinner. Punch So Saffron with 1" and Glorious Green with 1-1/4" Circle punches, adhere to pennies sandwiched between the Word Window punched tracks. The diploma is a free SVG cut file using SCAL (sure cuts a lot) from www.SVGcuts.com - it has been resized to fit the 1" punched circle (love that!). Diploma ties with 1/4" black satin ribbon and popped with a dimensional.

The graduation hat is also a free SVG cut file from www.SVGcuts.com using SCAL - it has been resized to 7/8" high, popped with a dimensional onto the So Saffron background. The Green brad holds the Yellow embroidery floss made into a tassel.

The spine:

Details of the spine charms: 1/4" satin ribbon reflects the school colors. Store purchased metals hearts along with alphabet beads spelling out my Grand Niece's name worked out so perfect.

Remove the album from the case to show a simple message:

Can you believe I found this "Memories" stamp in my stash. It is part of the 25 Disney Scrapbooking stamps? So Saffron size is 2-1/2" x 7/16", Glorious Green is 2-3/4" x 9/16".

Inside album cover:

Left inside cover: The Glorious Green strip is 1-1/2" wide, punched with a EK Success Alphabet edge punch. Apply sticky tape to make a pocket. Adhere small white Ric rack (wrapped cleanly behind the So Saffron embossed Cuttlebug Numbers Collage paper. The removable note is 3" x 2", stamped with a celebration record (stamp from Autumn Leaves for the Record 2).

Right inside cover:
It is the same as the left inside cover. The 3" x 2" removable note is stamped using SU Word Play.
